Verin Gene Giles

Verin Gene Giles of Bogata, Texas passed away Friday, February 21, 2020 at 65 years of age.  He was born on January 25, 1955 in Leonard, Texas to Verin Elmer and Leona Montez (Barker) Giles.

Verin retired from Texas-New Mexico Power and did odd jobs around Bogata until his untimely death.

Verin is survived by his children, Michelle Gibbs of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Jason and Sarah Giles of Troy, Texas, Brian and Jennifer Giles of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Ryan and Callie Giles of Bogata, Texas and Tiffany and Daniel Vasquez of Talco, Texas; his grandchildren, Allyson Gibbs, Leah Gibbs, Mady Giles, Blake Giles, Rylie Bragg, Braden Giles, Jadyn Bragg, Layne Vasquez, Kinsley Giles, Walker Giles, Jay Vasquez, and Jaxon Giles; siblings, Frank, Elmer, Dale , Jamy, Gary, Tim Giles and Vanetta Arriaga.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Connie Whisenhunt Giles, and siblings, W.S., Royce, Tammy Giles and Eutiricia Giles Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Cuthand United Methodist.  Interment will follow at the Bogata Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
