Whitworth Mildred Brown

Mrs. Mildred Brown Whitworth, age 78 of Bogata died Monday, October 15, 2012 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11am Friday, October 19 at Bogata Church of God with Sister Ethel Elrod officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8pm Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Bogata Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Homes. Mrs. Whitworth was born November 1, 1933 in Detroit the daughter of William and Mae Nichols Elrod. She married William Harmon (Happy) Brown on December 25, 1953. He preceded her in death May 16, 2002. She married William (Buddy) Whitworth in 2007. Her survivors include her husband, Buddy Whitworth of Bogata; two sons, William Brown Jr and Jeffery Brown both of Bogata; two adopted grandchildren, Jeffery (Bubba) Brown of Pasadena and Rhonda Mackey of Bogata; one sister, Mary Crawford of Bogata; a sister-in-law, Ethel Elrod of Bogata and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents; a son, Harmon Dwayne Brown on May 11, 1974; one brother, Top Elrod on March 3, 2012 and two daughter-in-laws, Neva Gail Brown on April 11, 1974 and Linda Gail Brown on August 25, 2005.
